I spoke with Deborah Morgan who co runs the Well of Hope Ministries in Flint. They are accepting donations under a hundred bottles and delivering them to those who cannot pick up bottles themselves. Her contact number is: 1-810-789-3407. Due to space concerns right now she wants people to contact her first.

I also spoke with Catholic Charities. They are in need of water and monetary donations. They hand out bottled water and hot food from Mondays to Fridays.

This is the info Eric Lacey sent me: To Flint Community Schools: Call the district’s finance office at (810) 767-6030 about cash donations.
Bottled water drop-offs can be coordinated by calling (810) 760-1310.

To United Way of Genesee County: Visit unitedwaygenesee.org and click on the “GIVE” button.
There’s an option to support the Flint Water Project. Call (810) 232-8121 for details. A new phase for outreach is investment in services to help residents who have been exposed to contaminated water.

To Catholic Charities of Genesee County: For information on making cash or bottled water donations to aid soup kitchens and warming centers, call (810) 785-6911.

To help Flint community activists who are delivering water:  Call Melissa Mays at (810) 423-3435.

Lansing resident, Carrie Davis, a 29-year-old single mother of two, has set up a gofundme page for donations to pay for bottled water for Flint. She also has offered to transport bottles to Flint residents and organizations. For more information,visit gofundme.com/znffcz64.

I know after speaking with Alex last week, he mentioned that you and the LSJ was interested in learning a little bit about Lansing’s Two Men and a Truck location pitching in. Alex mentioned that he was interested as long as it Lansing and corporate were directly involved.
Now that they are, I thought either you or Alex would want to speak with someone from corporate and the local Lansing location to learn a little bit more on how they’re pitching in now. This Saturday, for example, they’re pitching in to the water drive being held at Meijer on South Pennsylvania that will donate water to the Catholic Charities in Flint.
Let me know your availability and I’d be happy to set something up for you!
Thanks,
ANDY SROKA

Hi Eric,
My name is Maya Funches, I am one of the administrator at a local church in Chicago, IL.  The name of my church is New Greater Love COGIC.  I’m contacting you because I ran across your name when I was doing some research about donation drop off areas.  I wanted to inform you, that New Greater Love along with local activists and Alpha Kappa Alpha will be coming to Flint Michigan in a huge way to donate truck loads of water and water filters.  If you are interesting you sharing a piece of our story of love, I would love for you to contact us.  We plan on coming within a week. We are currently diligently working to organize all of the supplies.  Also, if you have any suggestions of other local people I should contact, can you please provide a list?  Thank you for your time! I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerly,
Maya Funches

Hi there. Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner! We just moved into a new building, and I’m getting used to the place.
Try these churches first. See attached. I can send you more info if you’d like. I know these places are accepting donations.
